We are excited to welcome Miss Grainger to the My Specialist GP Team as one of our new Doctors, starting on Monday the 26th of September. Miss Grainger has years of experience (despite her youthful look) and is skilled in the field of women’s health. She is surgically trained and practises obstetrics and gynaecology, and will be an excellent addition to our team.
Miss Grainger gained her core completion of training from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in 2020, and obtained her medical degree in Newcastle Upon Tyne. She has a diploma in Family Planning and certification in Early Pregnancy & Acute Gynaecological Ultrasound & Sexual Health. Miss Grainger hails from the North West of England originally. At My Specialist GP, Miss Grainger can perform the following 'Office Gynaecology' services:
Small Gynae lump and bump/cyst/abscess drainage e.g. Bartholin cysts
Vulval health, including biopsies
Lichens sclerosis
Pelvic pain/Menorrhagia
Medical management of endometriosis
Post natal reviews encompassing care for: Episiotomy, second degree care, C.section scars, pelvis floor examination, wound reviews
Menopause consults
Early pregnancy concerns
Recurrent miscarriage
Family planning: IUS insertion and removal, Xplanon insertion and removal
Smear tests
STD checks
Recurrent thrush
Ring Pessary for prolapse
Initially, Miss Grainger will be seeing our patients on Mondays and is available for either 30 or 45-minute appointments.
